Join us for our first event

This Sunday, July 25, 2021
Durham T.W.I.G. group bike ride.
(Trans. Women. Intersex. Gender-nonconforming)

This group is about creating comfortable spaces and opportunities for femme, trans, female, intersex, and gender-nonconforming individuals to develop biking skills and confidence.

This is a 100% non-machismo ride focusing on getting together, riding safely, and building community.

This ride is also about finding your legs! Gaining control and confidence on your bike in the streets and on trails at a beginner level- very chill pace/ no drop ride. All levels of rider welcome. All varieties of bicycles welcome. Helmets and lights encouraged.

The ride is a little over 8 miles on predominantly flat roads. We will be taking a couple of short breaks along the way to hydrate and chat about some selected points of interest.

We will be meeting at the Major the Bull statue in CCB plaza starting at 6pm with plans to begin rolling at 6:30.

Come ride with us! And please feel free to share this post and invite your friends!

If you can't make it this time but want to hear about future bike events for trans, women, intersex, gender non-conforming and other marginalized genders, email development@durhambikecoop.org and request to be added to our listserv.
